This is a project made in partnership with Wiztivi, a design agency specialized in multiscreen TV solutions.

Our goal was to think of a new TV interface, taking into account the evolution of people’s habits when it comes to watching TV.

TV Interface

We worked on this project in three stages. During the first one, we did extensive research on the subject, studying current TV interfaces, evolution of the user experience on TV. We decided to work on an interface which would help users to find the right program among the large choice of content available. Then, we presented three leads to Wiztivi, with for each one a animated mockup. And finally, we prototyped an interface using After Effects.

The solution we envisioned is built around the notion of adaptability and control. It is composed of different blocks, which size will change depending on the user’s interests and habits, to create a personalized interface.

We designed the navigation on the interface so that users would have as many spacial cues as possible, to help them get their bearings in such a complex interface.
Finally, we tried to reduce the number on steps to access a program by putting as much content as possible on the « first level » of the interface.
